Holiday shopping in the Berkshires used to focus on Black Friday doorbusters and braving the crowds at local shops. In recent years, Green Wednesday, on the eve of Thanksgiving, has emerged as an unofficial start to cannabis deals and dispensary visits. If you are heading to Canna Provisions in Lee or Pittsfield this November, understanding the flow of the week’s cannabis shopping events will help you get the best value and avoid last-minute stress.
What is Green Wednesday?
Green Wednesday lands the day before Thanksgiving and has come to play a similar role for cannabis as Black Friday does for retail. First emerging in larger legal markets, it is now an annual highlight for adult-use shoppers across Massachusetts. Many stock up in advance of family gatherings, host gifts, or simply to prepare for the Thanksgiving holiday, since most dispensaries are closed on Thanksgiving itself. Shoppers can expect deep discounts, limited-time specials, and bundled deals not typically available at other times during the year.
What to Expect: Cannabis Shopping in Lee and Pittsfield
This year, both Canna Provisions locations in Lee and Pittsfield are featuring special deals and holiday-themed bundles from November 24 through November 29. These include savings on brands like Kiva, Camino, and Petra. Each location’s featured items may differ, and popular products are likely to move fast, so it’s a good idea to check our Lee features page and Pittsfield’s specials online for the latest information on availability and pricing.
Throughout the holiday week, look for multi-pack and bundle promotions. Special pricing sometimes appears and disappears quickly based on inventory, demand, and ongoing brand partnerships. Particularly notable are occasional “ounce blowouts,” rotating brand promos, and the annual Smash Hits Clone Drop, with unique live plant genetics released just for the holidays.
Planning Your Visit: Store Details and Shopping Tips
Plan your visit thoughtfully to make the most of Green Wednesday and Black Friday. Our Lee shop, at 220 Housatonic St, sits just off I-90 and is accessible for locals and travelers alike. Standard store hours are 8am–10pm Monday through Thursday and 7am–10pm on weekends, but both locations close for Thanksgiving Day. Our Pittsfield location (1021 South St) opens at 8am every day except Fridays and Saturdays, when doors open at 7am. Both stores close at 10pm each night.
Online ordering for in-store pickup is available at both sites and is especially useful during peak traffic. Placing your order ahead of time not only helps you lock in your selections but also reduces time spent waiting, which can be substantial as the week gets busier. To stay current on specials, joining the loyalty list means advance notice on flash deals, limited drops, and menu updates.
