The days leading up to Thanksgiving have become a holiday in their own right for cannabis shoppers in Holyoke. Each year, the buzz returns as Green Wednesday and Black Friday offer opportunities to explore fresh deals and limited-time offers, without the holiday-weekend chaos of big-box retail. At Canna Provisions in Holyoke, we’re bringing back our annual holiday-week promotions from November 24 through 29, local shoppers can make the most of the season’s best features, stocking up and taking advantage of bundle savings.
What is Green Wednesday, and Why Does It Matter?
Green Wednesday has grown into one of the most anticipated days on the cannabis calendar, landing on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. For many, it’s a chance to get prepared before a long holiday weekend, and dispensaries often highlight special deals to mark the occasion. In 2026, Green Wednesday falls on November 25, just ahead of Thanksgiving on the 26th and Black Friday on November 27. While Green Wednesday doesn’t come with the decades of tradition that Black Friday brings to retail, it’s become a fixture for shoppers in Holyoke seeking timely promotions on favorite products and brands, often kicking off a week of discounts and special drops.

Planning Ahead for Thanksgiving Weekend
Planning is key for the holiday shopping rush. At Canna Provisions Holyoke, we’re located at 380 Dwight St, just off the canal. We’re open daily from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., except on Thanksgiving Day, when our dispensary will be closed. Shopping early in the day and checking inventory online first can make a big difference, especially for sought-after items like limited-edition gummies or clones. If it’s your first visit, bring a valid ID and budget a bit of extra time for the holiday pace.
Tips for a Smooth Holiday Shopping Experience
Holiday promotions draw shoppers from all over, so allow extra time to find parking near Dwight Street and consider bringing a friend to make busy-day logistics easier. Be sure to have your ID ready at check-in and ask the staff about any day-specific deals not listed online. If you’re a returning guest, keep an eye on text or email updates for flash sales that may drop during the week. The atmosphere during Green Wednesday and Black Friday is energetic, and our staff is well-prepared to help with any questions on products or ongoing specials.
