Last week, Canna Provisions donated $10,000 to the Berkshire Humane Society.

“This is something that’s near and dear to my heart – supporting those beings on the planet that don’t have a voice for themselves,” said Canna Provisions CEO Meg Sanders. “These are amazing facilities that help with the great work that the Berkshire Humane Society does all around our community to make sure animals are cared for, especially lost animals reunited with their loved ones, as well as making sure all animals find phenomenal forever homes. I highly encourage everyone to adopt don’t shop, and it’s great to be able to bring this support from Canna Provisions. We are thrilled to donate this $10,000 to the Berkshire Humane Society and to our continued partnership.”

Those comments were delivered in a check-presentation ceremony – involving a gigantic check number 00420 from Canna Provisions – between Canna Provisions CEO Meg Sanders, and Berkshire Humane Society Executive Director John Perreault, who said:

“This is a continuation of Canna Provisions dedication to people in the community but certainly for us at the Berkshire Humane Society. I can’t thank Meg enough for this donation that will help these animals and target low cost communities that may need our help in the future, and it will obviously help all the animals we care for here at the shelter. Thanks to everyone at Canna Provisions, meeting your staff, such great people and you see how dedicated they are to Canna Provisions but helping animals as well. We’re so excited about your support.” 

Earlier he opened with an anecdote that makes the whole thing come full circle in a way: “It’s a very exciting day at Berkshire Humane Society, as we have Canna Provisions with us today. When Canna Provisions first moved into Berkshire County, we got a great phone call from them saying ‘Hey we have about 30 people that want to come down and spend a day with you. Is there anything you need we can help out with?’ So they got a bunch of staff together and came and we had one of the most productive spring clean days we ever had, and Canna Provisions made it a lot of fun and it had a major impact for the animals.”
