CHEM 4
Somewhere around 2004, Chemdog was on the internet growers forums. At this point he had lost touch with legendary cultivator PBud (who famously supplied Chemdog with his first batch of incredible weed), but on the forums they reconnected. Around 2006, Chemdog sent the last four seeds of the original that launched Chemdog in 1991 to PBud and Joe B out in Napa California at the time, and out of those the Chem 4 was born. A chipper and fast acting high, expect loads of lemon cleaner essence hitting you in the face both in bud form and after combustion. As PBud says: “Right on exhale you’re high. All the Chem lines are like that, but the Chem 4 is an instant smack in the face.” Nice.

Genetics
Chem 4, also referred to as Chemdog 4 and Chem #4, hails from those original seeds Greg “Chemdog” Krzanowski collected way back in the 1990s. In 2006, he had four remaining seeds from that original Chemdog cultivar. Those four seeds made a trip to Napa, California where Chem 4 was cultivated.
Terpenes
The top terpenes in Chem 4 include myrcene, limonene, and humulene, so what you end up with is this intense citrus smell that hits you right in the nose immediately. However, if you’re paying attention beyond the lemon, you may even catch a hint of earthy soil and a little pine. The taste of this strain is just as intense with all its lemony-pine glory and undertones of sweet gas.
Effects
True to its roots, Chem #4 is an instant-hitter—you can feel the effects pretty much as soon as the smoke slips out of your mouth upon exhaling. Pretty much every Chem 4 strain review will also mention the fact that you get a long-lasting sense of euphoria and relaxation.
