YOUR STYLE IS PUNCHY AND COLORFUL. LET’S START WITH YOUR TOP FIVE INFLUENCES.

YOUR WORK HAS A LOT OF COLOR-ON-BLACK MOTIFUS, MIXED WITH ANGULAR LINES AND POPS OF COLOR (REMINDS ME OF SOME GREAT CANNABIS GLASS). IS THAT YOUR THEME?
Yes, that’s my theme.
WHY?
There’s something about blocking off different colors with funky playful hidden details that I just really enjoy. My first painting was called “stay weird” and I feel like the rest of my paintings also carry suit. Some others for example are named “who cares” or “stay wild” which reinforce my overall viewpoint to remain true to your inner child and have fun. I love incorporating bright colors against the black because it’s so polar opposite that it just works. Sometimes you need a little color in this dark world.
WHERE DO YOU LIKE TO CREATE?
I paint in my living room or dining room which are colorful and entirely surrounded by plants. It gives me a sense of being in my own little safe jungle that helps spark my creativity in painting.

My favorite piece is my wolf.
Why is it so special?
He’s got a regal vibe that I like to portray with fun colors to keep the playful side still apparent. There’s a couple hidden elements in that painting, such as the moon and the Big Dipper that glow in the dark. My dad loved wolves, so it’s special because he also passed away on a full wolf blood moon (hence the full moon in the piece) and there’s a goldfinch I hid in the trees, which was our thing.
Where do you want to see your art take you?
I’m not entirely sure. There’s little that I post on social media and put out in the world (I’m very modest). I love painting and I would love to do more even on larger scales as I continue to push my skills in the hope that I could eventually somehow leave an impactful mark on the world with my art.
