Holyoke rings in the holiday early with its annual fireworks celebration on Friday, June 26th, held on the grounds of Holyoke Community College at 303 Homestead Avenue, with a rain date of June 27th.
Gates open at 6:00 PM, and the lead-up to the fireworks display includes live music, food vendors, and activities for kids to keep the whole family entertained until dusk. The event is sponsored by Holyoke Gas & Electric and made possible through the city’s ongoing partnership with the college.
2. Walk with Purpose 5K in Holyoke
A Caring Pregnancy Resource Center of Northeast Colorado brings its Walk with Purpose 5K run/walk to Holyoke City Park on the Fourth of July, with the event running from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM MDT at 148-198 East Kellogg Street.
The color-filled 5K is part of a multi-city series organized to support local families and raise awareness for the center’s no-cost pregnancy resources across Northeast Colorado. It’s an active, community-minded way to start Independence Day before the rest of the holiday gets underway.
