Another day, another venerated cannabis media outlet focused on cultivation and the culture celebrating the historic launch of Massachusetts native and cultivation icon Greg “Chemdog” Krzanowski’s first legal line of cannabis: Smash Hits.

In the great feature by Patricia Miller, Chemdog goes into the different strains coming to Canna Provisions via the Smash Hits line (think: Chem 91, Mac 1 King’s Cut, Chem Select, Stardog Corey Haim, Motorbreath 15, Las Vegas Purple Kush), but also touches on his legacy in the national cultivation game and how annoying it is to see his name and legacy often ripped off to make a quick buck. Even by some fairly famous celebrity-endorsed brands:

“I would say probably 85% of the stuff out there [called Chemdog] isn’t really what it’s labeled. They’re just throwing a label on it to sell it. A lot of the strains, I can take one smell and know this isn’t it. They just use the name.

I don’t want to mention names, but there are a few well-known celebrity brands out there right now claiming to sell Chemdog, and it’s just not Chemdog.”
