New York state has legalized recreational adult-use cannabis in a move that has no doubt made new friends in the nascent industry for Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
You know this.
New Yorkers know this.
But now New York wants to know more about what a successful operation in the Berkshires looks like. So they came to Canna Provisions.
New York in this case will be represented by WNYT NBC New York. And they came to the right place.

SHEFFIELD, Mass. – As New York is working on the logistics for retail marijuana sales and commercial growers, we’re getting a first-hand look at a successful operation in the Berkshires.
Canna Provisions in Sheffield has a successful cultivation site as well as retail stores.
From the minute you walk in, you know this is a serious and professional cannabis grow house. Some of New York’s cannabis industry leaders are reaching out to them for guidance.
CEO Meg Sanders was an industry leader when Colorado became the first state to legalize recreational marijuana. She and her team were consultants in Massachusetts’ legalization process, and they were among the first to apply for a license to sell.
They currently have two retail stores here including one in Lee. The grow facility took a little longer to get going. It officially opened in November.
Their first harvest took place just a few weeks ago.
