Connecticut legalizing cannabis means two immediate things.
One: People constantly asking us if we’re going to open a shop there. (Note: always exploring opportunities goes the cry!)
Two: That Connecticut is going to have to figure out seed to sale tracing works in legal cannabis. So they turned to Canna Provisions and our CEO Meg Sanders, who after 10+ years running legal cannabis retail operations and launching brands and markets from coast to coast, is one of the most experienced operators having direct experience will all the ins and outs of track and trace tech and its use in retail cannabis.
“I want to make sure that we are doing the most efficient, thoughtful process with every gram,” Megan Sanders, CEO of Canna Provisions, tells WFSB Ch. 3, Connecticut’s local CBS affiliate out of Hartford.
Massachusetts, like all states that allow the sale of recreational marijuana, require all businesses in the industry to use track and trace, and much of the impetus is for preventing legal cannabis working its way to the black market, but as Meg’s expression below suggests (screengrab from the video), sometimes the reasoning lacks reason.

Sanders says the concern is overblown, because companies have too much to lose in profits and in penalties.
“We’ve invested millions of dollars into our license. There’s no way we’d ever consider flushing that all down the toilet,” noted Sanders.
